Becky the Bat ("the App", "the Game") is developed and published by Astryks Group. This policy explains what happens to your information when you play on the website (beckythebat.com) or in the native iOS app.
We do not run our own analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and we do not operate a player account system. Game progress is stored on your device. Some features (shares, App Store purchases, loading this website) use the network.
Astryks Group does not collect, transmit, or store personal information on our own servers for Becky the Bat. There is no Becky account, cloud save, or first-party analytics backend.
When you use the website, your browser still makes normal network requests to load pages and assets from GitHub Pages (or our CDN/host). Hosting providers may process standard technical logs (for example IP address, user agent, and request time) under their own policies. We do not use those logs to identify you as a player.
The native iOS app can be played offline for core gameplay once installed. Optional features that leave the device are described below.
The Game saves the following locally on your device (browser localStorage on the web, or equivalent on-device storage in the app). This information is not uploaded to Astryks:
Clearing site data, reinstalling the app, or restoring an old device backup can erase this local progress. We cannot access, recover, or restore it.
iOS app: Optional "100 Hearts" purchases are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. We never see or store your payment card details. Apple handles payment information under its privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Website (beckythebat.com): Optional "100 Hearts" purchases on the web are processed by Stripe through a hosted Payment Link. We never see or store your card details. Because this is a static site with no backend of our own, the return from checkout can't be independently re-verified the way an App Store receipt can — we accept that trade-off since it only unlocks in-game currency, not a real-money withdrawal. If you use "Share Score", the Game may open your device share sheet or third-party share links (for example Facebook, X/Twitter, or WhatsApp) with the score text you chose to share. Those services receive whatever you send under their own privacy policies. We do not receive a copy of the share from those apps.
Core flight gameplay does not require a Becky backend. Claims that the product "never uses the network" apply only to offline play of already-loaded content, not to browsing the website or using share/purchase links.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children (or anyone else) into an Astryks database, because we do not operate such a database for this Game. Parents who believe a child provided information to Apple, Stripe, or a share destination should contact those providers directly as well as support@astryks.com.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
